Why does Satan attack persons with Incubus and succubus spirits – spirit husbands etec. The place of sleep is a state of lesser awareness than when awake. In the scriptures we are encouraged to stay in the light. When you’re in the light you’re more aware. The Bible states some group in darkness, which is spiritual, however, even in a natural sense darkness is a place where you don’t see well and are vulnerable. When we go to sleep, we enter a state/place of rest but that place gives rise to a more pronounced level of demonic activity. Satan is more active at night.

But be sure of this, that if the head of the house had known at what time of the night the thief was coming., he would have been on the alert and would not have allowed his house to be broken into
Ephesians 6:12
For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the powers, against the world forces of this darkness, against the spiritual forces of wickedness in the heavenly places.
Satan has rulers assigned to darkness. When you are not perceptive you can be attacked.
When you are aware you are better able to handle anything that cometh by night (Psalm 91).
There may be indulgences that gives an opportunity for the enemy to gain a foothold in your life. When you go to sleep Satan seeks to take advantage of that “weak” state. People are sometimes taken captive to do Satan’s will, in weak states.
